Da Vinci Code (2006)
Despite the bad reviews, we still went for the screening. As we want to see it for ourselves if the show is that bad. By the time we reached Gurney Plaza, there's only tickets left for the front 2 rows. But there are like 3 back rows hold under reservations. So we waited until 30 minutes before the show starts when they open the reservation seats which are not collected by that time. As we are worried that we can't get the tickets by then, we que over and over again just to make sure that we are on the front line when the reservation open. The reservation seats are computerised, and hence only open exactly on time. There's nothing the people working there can do about it. So, if you have the time, and the que is not long, you can use this method to get the nice seats at the back, instead of straining ur neck on the front rows. It's our first time making this attempt, both of us are quite happy with such "achievement".
The film is good. I can't deny that the sound system on GSC is never as good as Mega Pavillion's but we went there anyway due to the screening time. It gives me a visual satisfaction of the story and what Dan Brown is actually thinking. Yet there are some scene which I've guessed wrongly, like the Templar's Tomb. I imagine it to be on a dark night, and in the outdoors, instead of inside a building. Other than that, the only complain would be the reduction of contents to fit into the 2 h 30 mins slot.
