Caution: Work Joke
Well, at times jokes might get serious, and it might ruin ur job opportunity, or even your future if you're not careful. I've my orientation this week, and there has been rumours spreading around my line saying that I'll be leaving soon.
Some kind seniors asks me about that and I turn pale almost immediately. "How did they find out?", "Am I getting fired?", "Is there something I say that give them the wrong idea?"... tonnes of question goes through my mind all day.
But thankfully I've get to understand why they say such a thing... it's because of a misinterpretation that gets into a huge disaster/joke.
Boss: "When is your last day?"
Me: "This thursday."
Without realizing it...I've made an error. My boss was asking me when will be my last day of ORIENTATION not last day of SERVICE~!!! These people really spread it so far that people have been looking at me in an odd way, and no seniors are willing to allocate tasks for me. Havta leave after work since there's no tasks for me to do after hours.
Lesson Learn: Be calm, and find out the real reason behind before taking the wrong steps which might get u into deeper shit.
