Smashing Aluminium Tins

Hey, i've reduced my "CO2" intake this 2 trimesters. Until today, i've only consumed 71 tins of canned drinks. Which means within 182 days, i've only drink 71 tins. Average of 1 tin every 2.56 days. That's comparatively better compared to my record on 1st trimester - 60 cans on the 1st trimester itself.

well, i've actually smashed all the tins at once so that i can estimate how many tins of canned drinks within a certain duration. Btw...for those of you who wants the specs, here are the details:-
100 Plus (18), Sprite(12), Pepsi (19), Coke (3), Singa Beer(3), Isotonik (7), A&W (2), 7UP (2), Malta(1), Milo(3), Nescafe(1).

Maybe it's due to no vending machines in the CLC Concourse anymore, that's why my consumption reduced. Oh well, my pepsi double shot is almost finishing, have to go restock soon. Hehe...

Btw....for those of you who are in Melaka, do u know where i can sell all these tins? It's great rite? Collecting tins as a hobby. U should try it when u've some free time.

Intresting Friday? Dull Friday?

Not really in the mood to study today. Wake up 30 minutes after nine. Yet still force myself to wake up to sign attendance in class. Dunno why these few days have been sleeping kinda late ( after 3am is considered late for an old man like me). Anyway, manage to get some idea bout wut the lecturer is talking about.

After paying tuition fees, i went to send a fax to empireict.com for the bank slip that have some problem. I heard from Bell that usually fax outstation is only 50 cents, but the STAD ppl charge me double. Hm... since they are so guai lan, i requested a receipt from them. This is the outcome of those ppl being guai lan to me. Not just that, i juz can't accept those officers work. Work? i don't know the definition of work already. It's a Friday, a working friday. But those staffs just chat with each other about gossips, "benifits of smoking" and all the other nonsense like when is KRU coming to town. As a student affairs department, they don't even treat students the way it's meant to be. Wonder if by complaining this to the board their salary will be deducted or not.

This afternoon is really tired, so i think i've dozed down for around 3 hours or so. But wut wakes me up is a phone call to Faculty's Clerk telling me that an event "Dean's Cup" might be cancel because of Cyberjaya's "open day". Gosh!!! another last minute event from MMU. WT*!!! #*#^@***

At night luckily fliped thru some notes while correcting a so-called "announcement". Hope that helps him save up some disgrace b4 sending. Thanks to yishu81, i got to go and have satay celup for supper tonight. Spent around RM6++, but it's worth while since i haven't been eating that for quite some time already.

Yawn~good night world

New Layout is as easy as Morning-Afternoon-Night

Guys, how do u rate this new layout that i've got here? Well actually i have smth like this in mind for quite a long time already. Until yesterday that i've notice a blogger using blogskins to design her blogspot, i came to the intrest that what i actually want is already ready for download and use. Juz need to do some registration which is as easy as water pouring into your throat.

Anyway, this is the most downloadable blogskin from blogskin.com. After downloading that, i juz do some minor adjustment. Lucky me that i've still some HTML in mind, so i tried to read thru the codes and change the names accordingly. As for the coding for the tagboard as well as comments, i've got it from other resources, juz like where i've stated there. Anyway, i feel like making slight changes from time to time so that you, my visitors won't feel bored with a dull and plain old blog.

Too bad some of the things like the Calendar part still don't work. Juz don't know where it got wrong. Tried to read thru the codes yet don't really understand the language they used there. Thanks to Ah Soon, i only know the way to write comments in html. Thanks again my friend.

Wasted another day on this. Not sure wut kinda time i'm gonna waste next. Assignments due soon while there's a maths paper next week. Wonder what's coming up next. "Good work nesohu".

Working under pressure

I was really amazed that a responsible person can actually be someone who is being addicted to drama all day. I have this friend of mine who have a project dateline due on the same day that he has other tests to attend to. Well, at the last minute, his friends send him a whole new interface to work out on. He was so fustrated that he can't concentrate on his books nor even sleep well for nights.

So, can't see my friend suffered from all the problems he hide inside, i offered a simple walk with him. After persuading him to spit everything from anger to pressure he' in out, he finally cool down. The whole system will take days to work out a new interface, yet after a simple conversation ( an of cos, a good night sleep), he wake up in the morning, and start working on the complex algorithms that sounds so odd to me i don't even know wut it''s about. I tot he'll only be able to work it out in at least 48 hours. But to my amazement, by dinner time the same day, he send me the site for comments.

To me it's like a miracle. Although technology have make it easy for us to transfer data and intel in a much simpler method, knowing how to do it is another matter. Guess this is wut they call professionalism. Working it out Under Pressure. No wonder he can get a job at his first interview. These people are really considered assets to the company.

Alias - Milo Rambaldi

Hey guys!!! Sorry for not being updating this place for a week. Well, have been busy finishing season 2 of Alias. It's actually a movie about post WWII. Spies, CIA, KGB and the SD-6. The main actress is Sydney Bristrow, acted by a person called Jennifer Garner - beauty, brains, athletic....u name it. She's like a woman version of 007.

Here's wut i like about the movie. People betraying their own family, their closest friends. Setting up agencies which are "so- called" special divisions of CIA to decieve people to work for the Alliances. These are all cunning way that the world is evolving in. That's why my frens, don't trust even your closest pal 100%. Keep room for your selfishness. Not even your girlfriend, your dad, mom or even ur brothers and sisters. But, never show them that. Keep it to yourself. And try to gain as much trust as u can. It's cruel, cunning, but that's how u should think if u wanna venture in business, management, law, and most of all in Politics. You can judge that by the speeches that Mr. Bush or other politicians have made.

It's so contradicting. 1 day he can tell you that China is a strong contry and we must be careful of them. They disagree with Taiwan's elections and also buying nuklear warheads. But after that, u'll hear him saying "we are all happy family" in his speach the following day. Isn't that just amazing??

As for what the war and the reality. One of my fren send me this page printed a lot of photos of the past. It's really sad to see our man died in the field. As for their innocence or not, that'll be another topic not suitable to be discussed here. All i wanna point out is that, the person that translates the english really needs to get back to Year 1 of english class. There's so much direct translation. If you want to make it sound convincing, no matter wut, at least the granmar muz be correct. Oh well, i think there's still time for the person to learn.

Anyway....got a maths paper, 2 assignments to go. Guess i'll have to get back to work again. Btw...juz in case anyone have any information about IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth or even VoIP, do leave me a message or send me a link of those websites. I juz can't differenciate 802.11 and 802.15.

Happy birthday Sue Yee!!!

Happy 21st Birthday!!! (21st February 1983)

Well, for those of you who don't know her, she's actually a charming lady that just turned 21 on this very day. She's a Ipoh gal, (u know wut they gossip about Ipoh gal). Anyway, for those who know this mui mui of mine, it's not too late to give her a call just to send ur greetings.

Talking about how we celebrate her bday wif her this very day. Dianni was incharge of getting her the presents and the cake. Sorry to trouble you "nicola" for driving around melaka trying to get the specific gifts as well as designing such a unique card for her.

By 11.30 pm, all of us have been gathering at a field near Sue Yee's place. We ( a whole group of 20+ friends) gave her a shock singing Bday song while i'm the one in charge of holding the cake. After distributing the cake into equal pieces ( u know how hard it is to devide 2 PI into 20 rite? One person is getting around only 18 degrees in angle of a cake. Tough time doin that huh ms dianni.

After that, we juz hang around our usual supper place - VJN for a cup of tea. The simple but meaningful celebration have touched her heart. Glad to have such a huge group of friends. Birthdays are never the same with them around. Hope the friendship will last longer then our University live.

Happy Valentine's Day

Guys, u ppl muz hav spent a lot of hundreds or even thousand to get your gf a new handphone buy get a complain that the phone is just to bulky to fit into her tight jeans. Well, don't think that the great features in the handphone which amazes you might amaze her. Juz buy her what she wants and that's about it i guess.

Anyway, today is quite a great day i suppose. Having lunch for the 1st time with my housemates and also friends. Getting chyoli to call sue yee, corn, and seow kern, while hyuei, kate and yishu is along with me and irene. Got to the US Pizza nearby to try our best in the "all you can eat" buffet offer in US Pizza nationwide. One thing i learn is that, we can really eat a lot. Imagine, a guy in average is eating a whole 8 pieces of pizza each. That's about the size of a regular pizza. Not including the bowls of mushroom soup, ice creams, and also garlic sticks that come along.

Maybe it's becos of my lack of sleep, i juz talk a lot of crap and being so siah sui in front of all my frens. They ask East, i answer West. Oh well... guess i'm usually that siah sui. But today worse. After eating 8 pizza, 4 soup, 2 ice creams, 3 coke, and 2 garlic sticks...i'm still not really extremely full. Maybe it's becos chyoli take double my amount. 16 pieces of pizza!!! Isn't that amazing? Wonder wut will happen if Pizza Hut if giving the similar offer.

We left earlier cos irene got test at 3pm. She'll go well i guess. Since she's good in studying. Good luck irene.

Later in the evening, actually i planned to sell flowers with irene while pak toring at this Valentine's Day. Cause it's like, killing 2 birds with one stone. Anyway, the plan din really worked well cos she wear too good to be selling flowers. So, i dun really mind as i manage to borrow a car from Kate. So we juz dropped wan choon and his friends who's gonna sell flowers with him the night, then we go and have our dinner and "shopping". Too bad the "shopping" part doesn't really go smoothly as i get bored quite easily.

Sorry lah, making my gf cried juz becos of that. Aih~wut to do? She's too concern about how i feel until she neglected herself and don't know how to be selfish. All she thinks about is my hapiness. I think i'd better treat her the same, if not every celebration that i've promised her will end up with tears.

Got back home, let her finish crying then watched Fantasia, the most stupid show i've watched in years. Watch till half oso no mood and too tired to watch dee. Wasting flim only

The most Kiam Siap Boyfriend

Seems like i'm the most kiam siap boyfriend among those of my age that i know. People give gf a bouquet of flower, i only give one stalk. People spend hundreds of dollars while i only spend smth far below that. Oh well, maybe i'm not that kind which really in the mood of Valentines i guess. I start loving irene more, but if talk about money, i dun really like to spend that much especially at this peak season. After yesterday's sales, i think i only spend 100 for the present. Irene, please don't blame me for this post ya?

Anyway, i do give her smth which is not being able to be purchase from the shops. Giving her back what a girl friend should have. A good listener, a loyal boyfriend, a person who loves her a lot.

What is OUT is IN. Though i've not been giving typical gifts, nor did i go all the way to get 214 roses from Cameron Highlands. But i've gave her a surprise minutes before she went to bed. I ran back after my meeting with the ENGSOC friends, then start practicing a song by Li Hom, she used to be a great fan of him. After 30 or so minutes, i walked down to her back door and start singing her that song. Might be my vocals are a bit loud, i shocked her housemates and she ran down with surprise and joy. So, ppl might think it's foolish. But what romantic thing is not out of this world and foolish? Unless spend a lot of money lah, but how much can a college student afford?

Irene, happy valentine's day. Same goes to all my mui mui, seow boon, lai queen, jasmine,.....

Marketing = Sleepless Nights

Gosh! Wake up at 6am in the morning by my dad on valentine's day. Ah well... can't sleep well all night as well. Mostly is because of my active brain the night before.

Got an offer from Wan Choon inviting me to sell some flowers with him and Bing Zang. So since i'm feeling that i'm not good in that part of communication skills, so i try to give it a shot. That's one of the main reason besides trying to cover up the present i get for my irene that's kinda above my aspectation. But doesn't really matter as long as she loves it. RM50 for 2 hours of thicked face persuasion. Only bad thing is that i can't sleep keep thinking of how to get more money. Arhg~Human Greed.

A day earlier, i suddenly found out that direct selling is gonna haunt me again. Since the incident during PC Fair years back where i hardly sell anything then, i've been rejecting the idea of direct selling. But the chance Wan Choon give me this time really helps me in getting back the confidence. The other day i was being introduced a "Business Proposition" buy Amelia. I found it quite promising but when i want to introduce it to my friends, i feel that i've got tongue tied. So 2 nights ago i tried to learn from irene about all these communication techniques. Persuasive as well as a more polite way of doing things. According to her, people have been listening to me due to fear, and also respect. So, when it talks about money, nobody is concern about respect. All are students selling juz an item which cost a few dollars. Hence training is needed to arrange facts and prepare what u're gonna present before starting to persuade others.

Here's a tip i learn from her the other night. Try to understand your potential customers needs 1st, talk to them about the objectives why to buy what you're selling. Then, only get into the point where u list down all the benifits, until you can find the person is getting intrested, yet a bit doubtful. So, you can start name a few of the disadvantage, or start to talk about how much the thing will cost him/her. I haven't really complete practicing those steps last night. Maybe i'll try do more training on this kinda nature. No wonder people say that direct selling is the way to get to the top if we wanna get learning to face the world. Try it out some day, u'll feel shy yet if u overcome it, u'll not juz improve in your communication skills, public speaking, but oso boost ur courage.

My biggest weakness is that i cannot take my own conversation flaws. After every mistake i've made, i spend all my sleeping time recalling what have i gone wrong and how to improve it. Though it sounds stupid, but that's how i get to know how to tackle the same problems iff i face a similar one again.

Earlier this evening, i talked to Ling Seang about "being a slave of stereotyping". He insisted in his theory, claiming that every gal like roses, here's the actual message:
Ling Seang (ICQ#6785671) Wrote:
yeah rite... all girls love roses... its true i swear!
(hope he doesn't belasah me when reading this)
It's not that all the girls love roses. It's easier for us guys if they like roses, but of course there are those who really understand flowers they'll go for tulips as well as lily. Lily looks better according to my florist, and tulips is the tough one. Tulips can only survived for 4 hours in Malaysian temperature. So it'll cost around RM20-30 to get it down from Cameron Highlands using a special fridge to keep it at the nessasary temperature. That's smth u should learn ya? Juz in case u've any intentions on Navy. Haha...

Government success depends on the voter’s education level and maturity?

Government success depends on the voter’s education level and maturity? Indonesians can start voting after the age of 17 years old. However, married female citizens can register with the committee regardless of their age. Hm… I’m not sure about the age American Citizens can vote but I feel that their voting age is too low. A 17 year old which just finished their secondary education is will have no working experience just yet generally. Maybe is due to their lack of education or what, I don’t think the government formed will be that stable.

Publicity has become so ridiculous. Logitech Valentine’s Day Promotion??!! Wah lau eh!!! Who is gonna give Mouse and Keyboards to their partners for Valentines? St. Valentine will be shocked & amazed if he knew this. It seems like these advertisers have gone too far trying to sell their products.

Hm…I’m amazed by English again. Well listen to this sentence “It was a cold, wet and horrible way for illegal Chinese cockle-pickers to die.” Hm…Cockle-pickers, who would have known the meaning of it at the first glance? For me, cockle is already a odd word. It means an unidentify weed, the lolium/tares of the Bibles. So, after pondering for 2 minutes, I finally figured out that cockle-pickers are actually ppl that have no job to do. Wow! Lesson learnt for the day huh. :D

Garlic Bread - The Making

Hey folks!!!

I know i know, today i got Information Theory paper and i've to study. But instead of putting my concentration on my books, i'm not sure why there's a sudden idea of making Garlic Bread. So, the idea have been in my mind all day. So tonight i made my "home made" Garlic Bread, and actually it doesn't taste bad at all. My housemates Hyuei, Mei Yeen and Irene also tasted it, and they give me a thumbs up.

Personally i juz try making it for the 1st time without any recipe book or guidance. Here's how i do it. I take the garlics that was bought quite sometime ago, peal it and mince it into small tiny pieces. Then i mixed it with the Planta which is already liquified. With that mixture spreaded on top of a piece of Gardenia bread. After that just put it into my 20-year-old Sanyo Oven Toaster for 5 minutes and Wallah, it's done! The difference from the one we have in Pizza Hut is just that i don't blend it with butter. Cos i dun have a blender. That's the best i can do with limited resources.

Anyway... this is smth you can try at home. Not like the bicycle stunt i put on yesterday.

Bicycle Accident February 8th

Paiseh, sorry for not writing these few days as my newspapers are being taken by my housemate upstairs. Wonder when he's bringing it down. Yi shu claims that my publishes are kinda boring. But worry no more, this publish will be a shock to you guys.

Yeah! Today finally proves that bicycle stunts shown on TV are a reality. They do say "don't try this at home" yet...who gives a shit rite?

Ok...so here's the story. Well, i'm on my way to Yap's place to do some final touch ups on my assignment which is gonna due on the very next day. Since i've been used to riding there late at nite, i usually ride at quite a high speed. Imagine... 20kmh on a bumper road. In taman dahlia, no car can compete with me in terms of speed, that's wut i can say. Anyway... not sure why i'm so unlucky this day. I drive at around 30kmh if measured using a typical Honda Motorcycle. Might be tired at that time (2310 hours) so din't really notice the bumper on the road. It's too dark that time and the bumper don't even have white straps on it. **** i'm swear i'm gonna buy a tin of paint there to paint it with my name when my hands heal.

So, after kena the bumper, i don't fall instantly. Instead, i flew to the front, gliding from vertical to horizontal in posture. Then, after hitting the ground, i think i bounced up n down of the floor around 2-3 times before the friction of my elbow and the floor stops me down. Luckily i juz got some bruises. But i kinda like see stars that time as my head got some shock. Not direct impact to the floor lah. I'm still smart enuff to block with my palm. Anyway...my Body Glove shirt that dad got for me last december was torn. (sorry dad!~)

Special thanks to Da Bao ( Wan Yun ) as well as Corn ( Yu Mei) for becoming my nurse as well as supplying me with bandages. It's not regular to be treated that good huh...hehe. Guys why not try to get some damages and get 2 beautiful gals to be ur nurse? Hehe.. irene dun jealous huh. :) Anyway...it's nothing major, juz a bit of bleeding as well as bruises on the whole right part of my body. Besides my elbow, my waist@stomach also kena quite a lot even wearing a rubber shorts. Not sure how the impact causes it to bleed oso. Other then that, juz small scratches on my knee and the lower part of my leg. Don't worry, my balls are still functioning.

Once irene heard that she rushes to get YiShu to fetch me. This reminds me of how worried she was everytime i got into some accident (which is more often then u see a full moon). Hm... pai seh huh.. Remember there was once where i was in a gym with her and some other friends. I was so playful that i got my whole chest on the floor with full impact ( another of my stupid stunt) it was so painful that i feel like vomitting my lungs out. But after she comfort me, i feel like all my pain disapears. Guess i'm starting to appreciating her more and more.

Not forgetting Yi Shu who have 8am class the next morning who fetches me to the clinic at 12.30pm. And also Yap who jokes about bringing me stomach pain pills, and Chyoli who helps me bring up my bike for storage in their house.

Talking about the klinik i oso wanna kill ppl dee. RM55 juz for 5 minutes consultation and some stupid pills. Dang! shouldn't go there in the 1st place. But since Yi Shu jie jie insisted, boh pian have to go ler~ Check a while oso won't let them worry so much.

It's been quite a while since i've bleeded that seriously. Last time i bleeded that much is when i hit the glass door with my hand. I can't believe that i actually break the whole glass door and cut my 3 fingers on my right hand. That's during my SPM paper some more. Luckily left Bio and CHinese 2 papers, which i din't score in either. Weird huh me? That time got around 5-7 stiches on each finger. Cos it's on my joints, it's kinda hard to heal and it's hard to move as well. But now still left scars only lah.

Assult of Batteries

Have you ever notice that when you're travelling, more then 20% of your bags are filled with electronic gadgets? Hm... guess what runs these devices? Batteries of course. Well, if you haven't noticed it's time you do.

When u travel for even a couple of days, u'll be bringing at least 2 battery chargers. As for the newage, u'll be needing more then that : one for your cellphone, one for your laptop, an iPod, another for your digital camera, and hm...maybe another one for your video camera. As soon as u've noticed that, ur life is already attached with batteries and battery chargers.

These batteries are commonly all Lithium-Ion. The benifits is that they are lightweight, powerful, and low-maintenance. Comparatively they are more environmentally friendly then other choices. Yet they have one major drawback: a limited timespan. Li-ion are particularly susceptible to aging. Typically they can last for 2-3 years (counting begins as soon as on leaves the manufacturing line), whether it is used or not the batteries will go dead.

If you've been reading last few months of In-Tech, there's actually an article mentioning about Apple's iPod irreplaceable batteries which have caused a lot of fuss. For those who are intrested, can get the .mov from me. Most flashy gadgets don't have replacement batteries for older gadgets as the manufacturer's doesnt' feel the nessesity of coming out with one. Imagine this, if the cost of getting a new battery is half the price of a new gadget of the same model this present day, will you get a new one or just replace a battery? Besides, there's obsolescence. Many digital devices, namely digicam hav little or no abilty to upgrade. This means that u'll have to buy new devices every couple of years.

So what's next? How do u deal with your old gadgets? Throwing it away???

Till now, there isn't much that we can do to make batteries last longer. Some older battery technologies survived longer when users fully discharged before a fresh charge. That's not for li-ion; it makes lil diference if users let the batteries run down or keep their gadgets "topped off". A typical li-ion battery will survive 500 complete recharge cycles. This problem might eventually be solved by improved thecnology. But until then, it's been vexing that batteries is not keeping up with Moore's Law"

If this doesn't convince you, think of the humilation you'll feel when you have to call the hotel manager and ask for a room with more then 5 electrical outlets. So, before you buy and flashy device to impress your friends, think twice!!!

Tip #1: if you aren't goin to use that gadget for a long period, the best thing is to store it in a cool place with about 40% charge on it.

Tip #2: if your cellphone battery dies off. Try wrapping it up with a newspaper and put it in ur fridge for a couple of days. Then let it warm down itself to room temperature b4 a fresh charge. U'll find that ur cellphone can still be use.

Cyborg Man, Steve Mann

Hey guess wut… we can actually watch CNBC and Hitz.TV live on Maxis mobile for the first time in Malaysia. Hm..maybe that’s our 1st step in getting into the 3G phone features. After years of delay, the licensed 3G network provider starts to show some results. Lucky for those of you who own the Nokia 3650, 3660, N-Gage, 7650 as well as Sony Ericsson P800 and P900 you can watch TV on ur phone. Personally I dun like the make of P800 and P900 as it doesn’t look stylish at all.

The media is also a quite competitive world. They have to compete for readers in all ways. For the new generation of news”paper” reader…The Star Online is planning to get their papers totally posted online using the Olive Software product. Hm…that’ll save up a lot of cost for students like me.

English is such a wonderful language where it tells a history of words back to their origin. Like White Feather means Cowardice. The uses of fingers in common expression also amazes me. There’s common like butter fingers, till never-heard-before words like “fingers are itching”, “all thumbs”, and “lay a finger on”.
Not only is English a great language, but I find their culture intresting. On today’s Star, it did mention about 10 tips to smooth the transition to settling in London. Just to mention a few, the English prefer tea to our local Nescafe, preparing a bottle of wine for a dinner, how to get a win and why stand to the right on the lengthy escalators.

Today’s newspaper also mentioned about Steve Mann, a human cyborg (short for “cybernetic organisms”) who have been wearing digital devices for the past 15 years wherever he goes. I wonder how he can live one day without the device attached to him. Yet I find it intresting to wear that gadget sometimes. Like how one of his student tries to find a ghost story to talk in a camp at night.

Divorce is also going too far these days. Try recalling the recent 2-day marriage then divource case of our famous Britney Spears. To ease couples, websites like LegalZoom and CompleteCase.com provide divorce services online for a fee. It’s noted that around 50% of the marriages in US ended up in divource. Hm… can u imagine the situation now?

The Last Samurai

Hm...talking about Chinese New Year, i've been watching 3 movies in just 2 weeks. Well, that's a lot for me. 1st was goin to watch the Magic Kitchen with my younger sister. That's just a stupid show i might say. Talking all nonsense and nothing much about Kitchen or Cooking. Not only that the movie sucks, the new GSC in Gurney Plaza also isn't as good as the Mega Pavillion in Perangin Mall. The sound system doesn't really give impact to the movie. Well, since i'ven't been in that cinema, so wut the heck.

Few days later i watch Silver Hawk leaded by Datuk Michelle Yeoh: our local Malaysian actress which have been in the movie scene ever since she won the Miss Malaysia back in the 80's. How frequent can we see a "Datuk" act in our screens ya? Hm...that's the joke that i always likes to play on my friends during then. Again, it's GSC that I watch this flim. That's because Irene haven't been to that place before. Anyway, got some wierd disagreement with friends and last minute changes. The movie is great, yet...the cinema doesn't really amplify the effects of the movie.

As for The Last Samurai, that's an Oscar movie that i would not risk watching in a bad cinema. So i end up watching it in Mega Pavillion, Perangin Mall. Too bad Irene was paying for the tickets, if not, i'd choose the centre seats so that i can get the best surround sound and clearest view. Anyway not bad also taking the couple seats. Hugging a love one while watching a good movie.

Ok, cut the crap... the movie is not only talking all about Algren (@ Tom Cruise). But the other actors like Katsumoto and hie son, the background, music and all...really gives us a through understanding of the discipline a samurai used to practice. From waking up in the morning till the minute the sun sets in the west, the samurais make full use of their time to practice everything till perfection. That's not what we have today. As long as can use can lah...aih~ I'm impressed by the women in their culture as well. Ladies, will you treat the wound of a person that killed you husband and make u a widow at a young age. Not only that, you'll even have to sit at the same table to eat with your husband's killer and wash his clothes. WoW! that's really a lot of tolerance~

Have i ever talked about how iPod and the batteries worked? Hm...maybe in a future post i'll talk about that...litium ion batteries and their disadvantage.

Two thumbs up for The Last Samurai. Great acting...hope there's some Oscar coming out of that movie. That's one Oscar movie that won't let me fall asleep.

Moisturising Masculinity

Happy Chinese New Year!!! After months of doom, i've finally decided to revive this page. A lot of things have happened for the past quater, and i've grown up ever since. Hope this time i won't cause any sparks or create any stupidity. Well, here goes

I find that this particular artical in January's issue of ahmoi.com really intresting. In my personal opinion i don't think that men will turn to make-up in the near future. Personally i don't even like gals who wear make-ups especially those in Beauty Pagent. They look so fake and have reveal more of their flaws rather then covering their flaws up with make-ups. Once i've read in one magazine that the we can't let our make-up being noticed before people notice us. Makeup is only to boost our personality, not to overshadow us.

Being sissy or not, that's another question. As for the ultimate posterboy, David Beckham's case, i don't think it's that obvious if we just look at him as an idol. But it'll be weird if i'm living with a guy like him who wear diamonds and pink nail polish.

Men spending all day in saloons is already a norm even in our country. But it'll take years for our society to accept make-ups. But, we can claim that even in Chinese Opera, the makeups already have been in our culture for years. Yet it's already a dying art. Unless makeup can revive the old art, there's no real reason why guys should ruin their own skin with makeups.

Pilgrims in Mena (Saudi Arabia)

Weird thing about this Hari Raya Haji. There are so many pilgrims goin there every year and a lot of stampede happening there. The "stoning of Satan" is a really doubtful event. People are stepping on each other just to throw a stone or two on the 3 stone pillars and causes a lot of deaths every year. I wonder why those muslims don't know how to be discipline and ignore others for their own benifit.

Is this the real world, or is this what their religion teaches them? Old folks feel that it's called destiny to die in mena/ mecca. But in my opinion, that's not call fate, that's all done by humans. Those people died because of their religion, paying thousands of money to go there to die, and they feel honoured. Worse still, none of them are considered murdered, all are accident. Hm...maybe that's where assasinations can be taken place w/o being sentence to jail.

If it's for me, i tell you....i'd rather save all the money up to buy marijuana or get a group of prostitutes with faces of Beyonce, J.Lo and Cameron Diaz with body of Jenna Jameson, Pamela Anderson... Maybe i can even perform a Janet Jackson scandal on NFL with that kinda money. ( a smaller scale though)

Weird, oh well...life's like that
